She starts again! Krawczyk gets two more Wimbledon wins

LONDON – Former Sun Devil student and three-time Grand Slam champion Desirae Krawczyk has now progressed in women’s doubles and mixed doubles at Wimbledon.

With two wins on Wednesday, Krawczyk advanced to the mixed doubles final AND the women’s doubles semifinal. His partner Neal Kupski and Krawczyk are the defending mixed doubles champions.

Krawczyk and Skupski reached the mixed doubles final with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 win over Sania Mirza and Mate Pavic on Court 2. They will face Australian duo Sam Stosur and Matthew Ebden in the final.

What’s on the line? She would be the first person to win two titles at the same Wimbledon since Serena Williams in 2016 won the singles and doubles. Martina Hingis in 2015 was the last person to win the women’s mixed doubles combo at Wimbledon.

Krawczyk has won three majors in 2021 (French Open, US Open with Joe Salisbury and Wimbledon with Skupski), the first player to win three mixed doubles slams in the same year since Martina Hingis and Leander Paes in 2015.
