Krawczyk advances to Wimbledon quarter-finals in women’s and mixed doubles

LONDON – Former Sun Devil student and three-time Grand Slam champion Desirae Krawczyk has advanced to the Wimbledon women’s doubles and mixed doubles quarter-finals.

Krawczyk and partner Neal Skupski, who teamed up to win the mixed doubles championship last summer, will face Jelena Ostapenko and Robert Farah on July 5.

In women’s doubles, Krawczyk and partner Danielle Collins meet in the round of 16 against Erin Routliffe and Alicja Rosolska. A start time has yet to be announced.

Krawczyk is fresh off a magical run last summer, in which she won three Grand Slam titles in a single year, all in mixed doubles. In June 2021, she won the first Grand Slam title of her career at Roland-Garros with her partner Joe Salisbury. She won again weeks later at Wimbledon alongside Skupski in July, then claimed a US Open title with Salisbury in September.

Krawczyk, who graduated from Sun Devil in 2016, has been the author of a tremendous career in Tempe. She compiled a 97-43 singles record, including a 28-9 streak in 2013-14 and was also 75-31 in doubles and 20-5 in 2014-15.
