Brendan Daniel O’Connor Obituary – The Arizona Republic

Brendan D. O’Connor, 38, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022, at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born on October 26, 1983 in Toledo, OH to Brian and Sandy O’Connor. Throughout his life, Brendan has lived in many different cities across the country, but especially loved Buffalo, NY, where many of his family members reside. The deaf community has always been extremely important in Brendan’s life. He was a graduate of the Indiana School for the Deaf as well as the National Technical Institute of the Deaf (NTID). He also attended Gallaudet University. Although Brendan is a deaf individual, he has never been defined by his deafness. Brendan’s hobbies included traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and watching the Buffalo Bills play during NFL season at his favorite sports bars. For those who knew Brendan, he was a true sports fanatic and loved watching his favorite teams. He had many friends across the country with whom he kept in regular contact. He touched many lives with his warmth and kindness. Brendan is survived by his father, Brian O’Connor, his mother, Sandy (Butch Mara), his brother, Tyler (Lindsey) and his sister, Kelly (Shane Kemeny). A memorial service was held on September 3, 2022, in the care of Messinger Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ.
