Arizona State QB Commit Israel Carter in action from SoCal Elite 11

Corona Centennial (California) Israel Carter was one of our top performers during last weekend’s SoCal Elite 11.

Here is our assessment of Arizona State’s post-camp commit:

“Carter was our best quarterback out of the Class 23 signallers. He’s mechanically strong and we really like the way the ball comes out of his hand.

“He’s a more devastating athlete on the open field when he can run, but he’s really improved as a pocket passer over the last year. The ASU commitment has a lot of tools physical in terms of arm strength and athleticism and his game is moving in the right direction.”

This offseason has been solid overall for Carter. He was one of the stars of Under Armor Next All-America Camp in Southern California in March, earning QB MVP honors and also shone on the 7v7 circuit.

He signed up with the Sun Devils in April, telling us at the time: “ASU has everything I was looking for in terms of a great coaching staff, an offense that suits me, and just my general vibe there that I had on campus. I also had a very good level of comfort and that’s what I was looking for.
