Arizona High School Basketball Roundup: February 10
This week, we’re focusing on two of the hottest teams in the state, Brophy in 6A and Peoria in 4A.

Here are the top 10 men’s high school basketball teams in the Arizona Republic, regardless of conference:
High School Basketball Super 10
Until February 9, 2020
No. 1 Goodyear Millennium Tigers 20-5
They’ve won 10 straight and have yet to lose to a team from Arizona this season with the dynamic duo of Justus Jackson and DaRon Holmes leading this 5A powerhouse that seems to have no equal in Arizona.
No. 2 Mesa Skyline Coyotes 24-2
Led by Dayton Harris, they run away from everyone in 6A, but things should get tricky once they hit the bottom four.
#3 Avondale La Joya Community Fighting Lobos 21-3
They clinched the 6A Southwest Region Championship with their school-record 19th straight victory as lead point guard Nahshon Harper continues to electrify.
Tucson Catholic Lancers Salpointe No. 4 25-1
They got their revenge with a comeback victory Friday night against Tucson Catalina Foothills, letting 4A know they are the team to beat in the state tournament.
No. 5 Catalina Foothills Falcons 22-2
Could a third meeting against Salpointe be coming in the 4A final?
No. 6 Phoenix Desert Vista Thunder 23-3
Until they have to face Mesa Desert Ridge in the 6A tournament, these guys could be destined for huge things, behind Osasere Ighoadaro and a formidable group of guards.
No. 7 Phoenix St. Mary’s Knights 21-3
The 4A Championships seem to be rolling through Tucson unless this talented young team, led by junior guard Keiren Brown and second Garrison Phelps, has the last laugh.
No. 8 Glendale Ironwood Eagles 23-2
Maybe the best 3-point shooting team in Arizona will give teams double the problems behind the backcourt of Trent Hudgens and Dominic Gonzalez.
No. 9 Phoenix Sunnyslope Vikings 20-5
This 5A team, led by 6-foot-10 junior Carson Basham, hasn’t lost since falling in overtime to Ironwood on Jan. 17.
No. 10 Surprise Paradise Honors 20-5
With a 12-game winning streak, this top-3A team, led by sophomore guard Nate Pickens, gets a huge state tournament tune-up Tuesday at 22-2 Chandler Valley Christian.
